Teacher Appreciation Day

Feb.13 to Feb. 15 was Teacher’s Appreciation Day which was organized by the Parent and Liaison (PAL) and Students Government Association (SGA). It was an excellent lesson for the students: how to be thankful.

On Monday, the students brought flowers, PAL parents made bouquets, and SGA students sent the bouquets to teachers and staffs. An 11th grade student said, “I was so excited to see the surprised and happy expression on my teacher’s face.”

On Tuesday, the students prepared greeting cards they had already made and PAL parents elaborately decorated them with candies and balloons. “Dear teacher, thank you for all the things you’ve done for us! I love you!” 

On Wednesday, PAL parents heartedly prepared a big breakfast. Mrs. Ericson, a PAL member, shared, “I’ve only been China for four months.  However, I met lots of parents here who came from different countries and after this event we’ve even established a closer relationship with each other. And we are willing to work with teachers to be the light during their growth. Moreover, presenting a love to teachers by parents is as an example for students, for a distinct life acquires love and thankfulness.” 

 

Bright Start Early Childhood Center
...Now Open!

The new facilities for ISW's Bright Start opened with singing, dancing, and laughter on February 3.  Bright Start's students are enjoying their new classrooms, comfortable indoor play area, nap rooms, and cozy environment.  The students were excited to show these items off to the parents and guests who attended the opening.  Principal Schooling opened the ceremony with an appreciative speech to all those who helped build and design Bright Start, especially the Wuxi School Managment.

Powerschool Daily Bulletin is currently not being updated. 

Due to a bug in our updated Powerschool system, we are currently unable to update our daily bulletin.  We are working on this and hope to have it fixed soon.  Currently parents can still access the bulletin, but we are unable to put new information on it.

Building a solid foundation.

Dear Parents,

I am humbled and honored to serve you as Head Principal in the future months and years as we head into an exciting time for the International School of Wuxi in 2011-2012.  I am excited and optimistic about our future growth and with the number of students and staff.  I want to personally thank the Wuxi School Management for helping us remodel our lobby, Early Childhood Center, Kitchen, Lunchroom, and gym floor area.  This will give our school a new sense of modernization and the ability to showcase our school to the surrounding local Wuxi community. 

We have so much to be thankful for at our school.  We have a very dedicated, well-organized, hard working staff that pays attention to detail.  I appreciate their hard work and dedication during the 2010-2011 school year. My goal this year is to foster better relationships between parents, teachers, and students here at the International School of Wuxi.  Please come and visit ISW soon!
